The 17^th ASEAN – JAPAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION (AJAFA 21)

REGIONAL LEADERS FORUM (RLF)

NOVEMBER 15 – 19, 2011, YOGYAKARTA, INDONESIA

The 17^thAJAFA 21 REGIONAL LEADERS FORUM, formerly known as Youth Camp, hold on November 15 – 19, 2011 in Yogyakarta City, Indonesia. 8 ASEAN countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam) + Japan were participating in this event, 61 delegations were involved in this activity. Total 25 members of Organizing Committee consist of 10 members are National Committee and Local Committee members from Yogyakarta province, 15 members are volunteers from University students in Yogyakarta. 1. Report of RLF 2010 on Seam Reap, Cambodia

2. AJAFA Meeting 2011 at Bangkok, Thailand on February 17 – 20, 2011

3. NEXT progress, Philippine and Indonesia were giving a report

Philippine : Planting Bamboo along the riverside

Indonesia : No cutting trees campaign at Gede - Pangrango National Park organized by The Alumni of Young Leader Training Programme (Group Environment 2009)

Ajafa-21 Executive Council Meeting

The 4^th AJAFA 21 Teleconferencing was held on Thursday, May 20, 2010. The main agenda are : verification and introduction of attendees, remark by CAC 21 (Mr. Arisawa), remark by the Chairman of AJAFA 21 (Mr. Abdul Rahman), message from Mr. Horizoe Junior to all AJAFA 21 perticipants, information about Regional Leaders Forum, will be hold on November 3 – 7, 2010 at Seam Reap, Cambodia, the teleconference started at 09.00 WIB and finished at 11.00 WIB.

Conservation And Understanding Biodiversity Culture for Sustainance of Peace and Harmony

The 22th AJAFA-21 Executive Council Meeting was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The meeting was attended by 19 official delegates from 9 alumni member countries: (Cambodia , Indonesia , Japan , Laos , Malaysia, Myanmar , Philippines , Thailand , and Vietnam), Ex Officio members from JICA Malaysia and 2 Official Observers.

The 3rd AJAFA 21 TV Conference held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10.00 – 12.00 am (Japan Time) in JICA Indonesia Office. This activity was supported by JICA TV Conference facilities in every JICA’s office over the ASEAN Countries and Japan. The participants are CAC 21 Japan, JAAC Cambodia, KAPPIJA 21 Indonesia, LAYCFP Laos, PAJAFA 21 Philippines, FYAA Thailand, VACYF Vietnam, and JICA Alumni member from Myanmar.
